I contribute regularly across a spectrum of publications and genres – so I have to be super adaptable. I’m a form chameleon, but I maintain my characteristic voice across the board. I’ve published numerous Q+As, written-through profiles, longer form features, bitesize single reviews, extended discovery and introduction pieces, short and long form album and EP reviews, live reviews, listicles and roundups, and exploratory thinkpieces.
For me, the key to my writing is the broader narrative that it’s contributing to. So what I say is equally informed by the art I’m listening to, the cultural context it’s released in, the details threaded through the music that ground it in whatever it is. I explore everything before I distil it into a finished product.
